FTSE 100 (UK): +1.75% at 1:30 PM.

DAX (Germany): 2.22% at 2:30 PM

CAC 40 (France): +1.83% at 2:30 PM

SPY pre market open: +1.3% at 108.85 at 8:30 AM EST

QQQQ pre market open: +1.2 at 8:30 AM

A way up open this morning.

Economic Indicators: Import prices excluding oil were up 0.6% and export prices excluding agriculture were flat for September as announced at 8:29 AM EST.

Retails sales dropped 1.5% in September, but if you take out cars, they rose 0.5%.

Business inventory levels for July is expected to show a drop of 1% for August over July. This is expected to eventually lead to manufacturing activity to restock inventories. We find out at 9:59 AM EST.

At 2 PM the Federal Reserve Open Market Committee meeting minutes for its September meeting are released.

Earnings Announcements: Abbott (ABT) large pharmaceutical company, Grainger (GWW) equipment supply company, Host Hotels (HST) a REIT specializing in hotels and resorts, JP Morgan (JPM) money center bank announced unexpectedly strong earnings, before the market opens today.

Xilinx (XLNX) makes programmable logic circuits, announces earnings today.

Intel (INTC) maker of processor chips, is up 4% after announcing earnings last night.
