The volatility in the number comes from crude oil and food. The core number, with oil and food taken out, is expected to show a 0.1% increase.
Industrial production and capacity utilization for August are announced at 9:14 AM. Capacity utilization is expected to inch up to 69% from 68.5% last month, since production is expected to show an increase of 0.5%. Production is down 14% from one year ago.
